CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2027: Date Sheet and Exam Pattern

Status. Not yet announced: as of 2 November 2026, CBSE has not published the 2027 date sheet. The LOC (list of candidates) deadline for schools was 21 October 2026. Official source: CBSE official website.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Class 10 board exams. Since 2026, Class 10 students have two board exams in a year: a main exam that every student takes, and a second exam that students can take to improve their scores. The 2027 date sheet has not been released yet.

Exam pattern
- Mathematics (Standard or Basic), Science and Social Science are each marked out of 100: 80 marks for the 3-hour written paper and 20 for internal assessment.
- Papers have Sections A to E: multiple-choice and assertion-reason questions, very short, short and long answers, and case-study questions.
How to use the months before the boards
- Finish the syllabus by December, then write one full paper per subject each week, timed at 3 hours, and mark it against the marking scheme.
- Keep a list of every question where you lost marks and revise those topics before the next paper.

When will the CBSE Class 10 2027 date sheet be released?
CBSE has not released it yet (as of 2 November 2026). It will be published on cbse.gov.in; for 2026 the main exams began on 17 February 2026.
Are there two board exams for Class 10 in 2027?
Since 2026, CBSE has held a main Class 10 board exam and a second board exam in the same year. The 2027 dates for both will be in the CBSE date sheet.
How many marks is the Class 10 Maths paper?
The written paper is 80 marks in 3 hours, with 20 marks of internal assessment, for 100 in all.
